A Report from the Department of Sanskrit

The rich, vibrant and the ancient language Sanskrit is given high importance in our school. This language is taught as II-language from 5th Standard to 10th Standard and as III-language from 5th to 8th Standard. The management and our honourable Correspondent is also very much interested in promoting this language.

The students of this department are also involving themselves in learning this language and enthusiastically taking part in all the competitions like

	Recitation
	Essay Writing
	Sloka Writing
	Skit Competition and
	Katha kalakshepam etc. and also brought laurels to the department as well as to the school.

SRI VALLABH SAMSKRTA VIDYAPITH [Free Sanskrit Classes]

Under the banner, Sri Vallabh Samskrta Vidyapith, free Sanskrit classes are conducted on Sundays and other Public holidays. This was established on 21st October (Vijayadasami day) 1996. These classes are conducted in connection with the propagation of the holistic language Sanskrit, with the great interest of our beloved Correspondent. The students of this class are trained for Sanskrit Examination conducted by Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan. All the students of this Vidyapith passed with distinction marks.

Everyday in our prayer hall, Bhagawat Gita, Krishna sraya stotram, Sri Krishnastakam are taught. This year as a big project, teaching of Sri Vishnu Sahasranama stotram is started. This is the long-time wish of our Correspondent. The students of this department are always taking a keen interest in making every project / examination successful. Hope the same continues in the years to come.
